Earthquake Structures

Students in Mrs. Steven's 5th grade class built earthquake proof structures. Nicholas told me that the goal was to build a structure at least 12 inches tall and to make sure that it would survive an earthquake. The structure had to pass a 10 second shake test by Mrs. Stevens. These students had some creative designs and I was amazed by the conversations!
